The study of art and culture enriches the human experience. Art education improves problem solving and critical thinking skills, builds focus and perseverance, and nurtures creativity, confidence, and collaboration. Cultural awareness promotes effective communication and profoundly increases the ability to appreciate and enjoy a variety of new people and experiences. The Arts & Culture Community Service Program encourages members to promote and support art activities in all communities. It is designed to inspire clubwomen to create programs and projects that include music, dance, drama, theater, and other arts-related areas, both traditional and innovative.
Each February District 4 holds an Arts Festival in conjunction with our Spring Meeting. Student and Clubwomen arts and crafts are featured. Winning entries proceed to the GFWC-NC State Arts Festival in March. Here are the Arts Festival Guidelines.
